Hello fellow research members,

Eye pressure question - how do I go about testing this further with my tonometer?

Submitted by Thomas Hirsz on Sat, 09/04/2010 - 7:59am

My elevated intraocular pressure in the evening seems to decrease when I lie down and read. However this could be due to other factors such as the eye drops kicking in. How would I go about testing this further?

Help with Night-time Sticky Eyes

I am new to FitEyes and am in the process of acquiring a tonometer for self use. Let me say that I am amazed that this site exists and I consider it a miracle. In my 14 years of treatment I have had the sad experience of feeling helpless while my eye doctor prescribed drops with awful side effects and then send me away for 6 months between visits. I knew my eye pressure must be higher than during eye exams because the vision kept worsening. This was realized on my own without aknowledgement from the optham.
