I am starting this blog as a way of capturing the anecdotal observations around IOP variation AND the actions taken that we believe alter that measurement in either direction: (upward or downard).
I will initiate this blog with an experience that I had on 1/19/2015 and the follow-up observations and actions taken to explore these variations further.

I come to you from the wonderful state of Colorado. We have been allowing the medical use of Cannabis to lower IOP for quite some time. I am not sure if the condition is directly covered in our laws, but anyone who has a body can get a card for pain/nausea. I have been using the MMJ to treat pain associated with chronic Pancreatitits for quite some time.
Dr. Kondrot recently enticed FitEyes members with some interesting observations about what he called grounding and its effects on intraocular pressure. He also wrote about earthing and shared this video of his patient, Peter Abilogu, a professor of African Dance, performing in his office.
I decided to test out my theory re: calcium and magnesium and I can say with certainty if I take a calcium supplement prior to bed, my IOP will spike the next morning.
Going on the theory that calcium and magnesium act as opposites in the body, I have been taking magnesium supplements prior to bed.
I am using Peter Gillham's Natural Calm. He offers products with calcium and magnesium blended as well as magnesium alone.
