Timing of Eye drops: how precise that should be?

Submitted by pmpvip on Tue, 08/14/2007 - 8:46am

Hi

I was dignoised with glaucoma two month back.

Currently I use Timolet (one Drop in each eye) at around 7.00AM and 7.00 PM. and Lumigen at night around 9.00 PM ( One drop in each eye)

(1) How precisely we should follow this timing of eye drops. Altering time by 30 min or so only for two days in week  (so that it fit to work schedule) should be OK or not?

An Update On My Eye Pressure

Share A Smile! Is it possible for a glaucoma patient to dramatically reduce their eye pressure without using additional glaucoma drugs or surgery?

Six months ago, on 5-Nov-2006 I recorded the following intraocular pressure measurements.

My glaucoma medication was Xalatan in each eye and 0.5% timolol maleate in my right eye.

Managing My Blood Pressure and Eye Pressure While Sleeping

Submitted by dave on Tue, 01/30/2007 - 11:43am

In my first true 24-hour eye pressure monitoring period (back in 2007), where supine eye pressure measurements were taken, I found out that my eye pressure is much higher at night than expected. I also found out that my blood pressure is much lower. That's a bad combination of pressures for the health of the optic nerve.

Quick Summary of My Eye Pressure Over The Last 9 Days

Submitted by dave on Tue, 12/26/2006 - 9:48pm

The combination of diligent stress management along with using Xalatan and timolol maleate (0.25%) without waiting between eye drops has produced very good results over the last nine days. I will comment on the details in other posts, but in this post I want to show the overall daily eye pressure averages for the last nine days because this is the best period on record so far.
