Fenugreek is anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anti-arthritic

Abstract

Trigonella foenum graecum (fenugreek) is an herbal medicinal plant used for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and inflammation.

The present study was designed to investigate the beneficial outcome of the plant T. foenum graecum on adjuvant-induced arthritis in albino rats. Ethanol extract of T. foenum graecum was tested against Freund's complete adjuvant-induced arthritis in rats.

Highest Natural Food Source of Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA, PeaPure) Discovered

Highest natural concentration of Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA, PeaPure) found in one of the oldest cultivated medicinal plants in the world! Up to 25% palmitoylethanolamide plus iron, potassium, calcium, selenium, copper, zinc, manganese, magnesium, thiamin (vitamin B1), folic acid, riboflavin (vitamin B2), pyridoxine (vitamin B6), niacin (vitamin B3), and vitamins A and C.

Palmitoylethanolamide Origin, History and Background

The chemical name of PeaPure is N-palmitoylethanolamide. (This is often abbreviated as PEA, although this can be confusing because PEA can refer to other substances.)

Palmitoylethanolamide is an natural (endogenous) fatty acid amide belonging to the family known as N-acylethanolamines (NAE's; or N-acylethanolamides), including 'cannabis-like' compounds such as N-arachidonoylethanolamide (anandamide, AEA).

Palmitoylethanolamide, a naturally occurring lipid, is an orally effective intestinal anti-inflammatory agent

Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA, PeaPure) is an effective natural intestinal anti-inflammatory.

Palmitoylethanolamide Stimulates Phagocytosis by Microglial Cells without Inducing an Inflammatory Reaction

Summary: Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA), an endogenous lipid, increased phagocytosis of bacteria by microglial cells in vitro without a measurable proinflammatory effect. This allows the immune system to kill pathogens without harming nerve cells. Palmitoylethanolamide has been extensively tested clinically without observed severe side effects.
