Cambridge University geneticist Aubrey de Grey has famously stated, “The first person to live to be 1,000 years old is certainly alive today …whether they realize it or not, barring accidents and suicide, most people now 40 years or younger can expect to live for centuries.”

 Just wondering what foods are bad for your eyes?  Everybody says carrots are good for your eyes.

I hope watermelon is good for your eyes cause I just ate a lot....Wink

Healthy Pasta Recipe

Here is another healthy recipe featuring foods that health the eyes. This is a pasta dish with healthy vegetables in lieu of tomato sauce. (You can actually add some tomato sauce to it if you wish and the taste is good. I prefer it without tomatoes myself.)

You will see how the damaging concept of chemical nutrients could be replaced by knowledge of the healing effects of taste to bring nutrition back from the realm of the food chemistry lab into the real world of sensory pleasure and good health.

Ocufors - Is it Ayurvedic?

In 2006 I wrote about the news that Ocufors, a plant-based pharmaceutical product for glaucoma, had received regulatory approval from India's equivalent of the US FDA (the Drugs Controller General of India - DCGI).

Ocufors is a natural, plant-derived product that has been found to be 30% more effective at reducing intraocular pressure than existing glaucoma drugs, according to its manufacturer.
